adidas Originals Forum Bold Women's

Discover the adidas Originals Forum, a basketball-turned-lifestyle shoe, available to purchase at JD Sports Australia. These retro-style kicks have been making the rounds since 1984, impressing with their bold silhouette and sophisticated performance features, designed specifically for the court. If you’re on the lookout for a fresh addition to your footwear collection, there are loads of reasons to grab a pair.
Appearance-wise, the Forum boasts a leather upper enhanced with the traditional adidas three stripes on the side wall and the Originals Trefoil logo on the tongue. What makes these sneakers stand apart from the competition the most, however, is their signature ankle strap, which is both practical and stylish.
The Origins of the Forum Low
Like many classics of the era, the adidas Forum finds its roots as a basketball shoe. The designer of the shoe was Jacques Chassaing, who looked to previous adidas releases (such as the Concord) and, perhaps most importantly, took the input of professional players to inform the development process. The result of the feedback was the Criss-Cross Ankle System, a key selling point that successfully attracted many notable NBA stars, including Michael Jordan, who at the time had not yet signed with Nike.
Upon release, the Forum could be found only as a high top, but mids and lows joined the party in later years, making the collection the first of the adidas footwear range to be purchasable across all varieties. The low-top version, having received a lot of demand from sneakerheads, quickly became a standout addition.
As of 2020, you can find the Forum Low in the Originals line, which celebrates the long heritage of adidas. The original silhouette is mostly intact, with the main contrast being the inclusion of new colourways and styles born from collaborations with notable celebrities, like Bad Bunny.
