The North Face has been selling jackets and coats since the early days of the brand, giving climbers and hikers a protective layer with the ability to endure the toughest climates. Though it’s true that the company found its original audience up the side of mountains, supporters can now be found everywhere, from the workplace to the school yard. TNF jackets and coats have become staples of the fashion scene, with music artists and other celebrities known to rep the brand’s signature logo on the regular, and JD Sports Australia is here to welcome you to the inner circle—or rather, the Half Dome.
The Emergence of the TNF Puffer Jacket
Before The North Face jackets and coats became mainstays, the Half Dome company offered only one option: the Sierra Parka. This limited range didn’t last, however. As TNF grew in popularity, reaching into the domain of hip-hop and influencing those who followed the genre, its selection of clothing grew alongside it. There was lots of demand for puffer jackets, mountain-style outerwear, and anything with the TNF logo on it, really, and the brand was more than happy to accommodate.
One of the biggest hits in the product selection was the Nuptse, which was released in 1992. This high-quality puffer jacket took the world by storm, being a warm and very trendy addition to people’s winter attire. To this day, it continues to be sold, and the core design, though mostly unchanged, has received some welcome updates.
